First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether gum disease can increase the chance of having a heart attack. Researchers will compare the gum health of 320 people—some who recently had a heart attack and some who haven't—to see if gum problems are more common in heart attack patients. The goal is to find out if treating gum disease could help prevent future heart attacks.
