Summary
This study looks at DNA from 575 breast cancer patients to find genetic changes that increase the risk of nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) from the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel. Researchers compare patients who had severe nerve damage to those who had none, searching for rare gene variants. The goal is to better understand who is at risk, not to test a new treatment.
