Frozen vs. fresh: can your allergy test be just as accurate?

NCT ID NCT06872996

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using frozen or stored foods for skin prick tests gives the same results as using fresh foods. About 100 adults with known food allergies will be tested with both fresh and preserved versions of the same foods. The goal is to see if clinics can reliably use stored food samples when fresh ones aren't available, making allergy testing more convenient.
