First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether applying fluoride varnish to one side of the mouth can prevent white spot lesions (early cavities) during clear aligner treatment. Twenty-five people aged 16-24 with mild crowding will have one side treated with fluoride varnish and the other side left untreated for comparison. After six months, researchers will measure how many white spots appear and how severe they are.
