New program aims to ease depression and substance use in native communities

Summary
This study tests a program called Family Spirit Strengths to help Native American and Alaska Native mothers and caregivers manage depression, anxiety, and substance use. About 188 participants will either receive the skills program or a nutrition education program. The goal is to see if the program improves mental health and reduces substance use.
