First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special nerve block (erector spinae plane block) can provide better pain relief after flexible ureteroscopy for kidney stones. 70 adults were randomly assigned to receive either the nerve block plus standard pain care or standard care alone. Researchers measured pain levels, opioid use, and nausea in the first 24 hours after surgery.
