Summary
This study looked at 51 women in labor who wanted an epidural for pain relief. Researchers compared two standard ways of numbing the skin (injecting lidocaine under the skin or into the skin) before inserting the epidural needle. The goal was to see which method caused less pain and discomfort during the procedure.
