First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special ultrasound test can accurately find meniscus tears in the knee, compared to the usual MRI scan. Researchers tested 8 adults who were already scheduled for knee arthroscopy. The goal was to see if the ultrasound could be a reliable, faster, or cheaper alternative to MRI for diagnosing these common knee injuries.
