First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This completed Phase 1 study in 12 healthy adults tested how the antifungal drug fluconazole changes the way the body processes an experimental drug called PF-07248144. Participants took PF-07248144 alone and then again with fluconazole, and researchers measured drug levels in the blood over 10 days. The goal was to understand safety and how the drugs interact, not to treat any disease.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

PF-07248144 and fluconazole

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could help determine the right dosing for PF-07248144 when taken with fluconazole, supporting future drug development.

What could go wrong

This is a very early, small study in healthy people, not patients. It only looks at drug levels and safety, not whether PF-07248144 works for any disease.
