Summary
This study tested a diabetes prevention program designed for college students at high risk for type 2 diabetes, especially those facing food or financial insecurity. About 80 UCLA undergraduates with prediabetes or high risk were randomly assigned to either a tailored 19-session program or a control group receiving general health materials. The goal was to see if the program could help students lose 5% of their body weight and be acceptable to participants.
