Simple reminders help doctors cut risky meds for dementia patients
NCT ID NCT06347172
Summary
This study tested whether gentle electronic reminders could help doctors and caregivers safely reduce unnecessary medications for people with dementia. Researchers sent automated messages to 250 primary care doctors and their dementia patients' caregivers before appointments, suggesting they discuss medication reduction. The goal was to see if these simple nudges could lead to fewer potentially harmful medications while being practical enough for wider use.
