Electronic nudges aim to cut risky meds for dementia patients
NCT ID NCT06347172
Summary
This study tested whether simple electronic reminders could help doctors and caregivers safely reduce unnecessary or risky medications for people with dementia. Researchers sent automated messages to both doctors and patients' caregivers before appointments, suggesting they discuss medication reduction. The goal was to see if this approach was practical and could lead to fewer potentially harmful prescriptions for this vulnerable population.
