Brain scan study seeks clues to dementia and Parkinson's

NCT ID NCT01453127

Summary

This study aims to understand how a special brain scan called DaTSCAN can help doctors better diagnose and track brain diseases like dementia, Parkinson's, and REM sleep behavior disorder. Researchers will scan 500 adults aged 40-90 who have one of these conditions and compare the scan results with their symptoms and other tests. The goal is to learn if this scan can improve diagnosis and provide information about how these diseases progress over time.
