Brain scan study aims to unlock mysteries of dementia and Parkinson's

NCT ID NCT01453127

Summary

This study aims to see if a special brain scan called DaTSCAN can help doctors better understand and diagnose conditions like dementia, Parkinson's disease, and mild memory problems. Researchers will scan 500 adults aged 40-90 who have one of these conditions and compare the scan results with their symptoms and other tests. The goal is to learn if this scan can provide clearer information about what's happening in the brain to improve diagnosis and future care.
