First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study examines whether a common gene variation (CYP2C19) influences the long-term risk of major heart problems, strokes, and limb complications in people with blood vessel disease. Researchers will analyze medical records from 13,000 patients who have already had genetic testing. The goal is to understand if this gene affects how well the blood thinner clopidogrel works, which could help personalize treatment in the future.
