This study tested whether adding functional electrical stimulation (FES) to stationary cycling helps people who survived severe COVID-19 regain physical function faster. Twenty-two adults who had been on ventilators in the ICU took part. Researchers measured how much time patients spent sitting or lying down over 4 weeks of rehabilitation.
