Umbilical cord dressings aim to heal stubborn leg wounds

Summary
This study tests whether special skin substitutes made from donated human umbilical cord tissue can help heal stubborn leg ulcers caused by poor blood flow. About 272 adults with hard-to-heal venous leg ulcers will receive either standard wound care alone or standard care plus the cord-based dressing. The main goal is to see if more ulcers close completely within 12 weeks with the added treatment.
