Eye scan could speed up diagnosis for scarred lungs

NCT ID NCT07283081

Summary

This study is testing whether a quick, non-invasive eye exam called capillaroscopy can help doctors diagnose the cause of lung scarring faster. Researchers want to see if this exam, which looks at tiny blood vessels, can identify patients whose lung disease is linked to autoimmune conditions like lupus or scleroderma. The goal is to reduce the time it takes to get the right diagnosis so patients can start appropriate treatment sooner.
