NCT ID NCT07449273
First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether two types of breathing exercises—pranayama and pursed-lip breathing—can help reduce pain, anxiety, and improve vital signs in people recovering from breast surgery. About 126 adults having a mastectomy will be randomly placed into one of three groups: one doing pranayama, one doing pursed-lip breathing, or a control group getting standard care. Participants will practice the breathing exercises three times a day for five minutes, and their pain and anxiety levels will be checked on the first and second days after surgery.
