New combo attack on breast cancer: radiation & immune drug before chemo
NCT ID NCT07188246
Summary
This study is testing a new treatment approach for people with high-risk breast cancer. Before starting standard chemotherapy, participants receive a short, targeted course of radiation and two injections of an immunotherapy drug directly into the tumor. The goal is to 'prime' the immune system to better fight the cancer, potentially improving the effectiveness of the chemotherapy that follows.
