Brain scans while walking could unlock Parkinson's freezing mystery
NCT ID NCT07092995
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at why some people with Parkinson's disease suddenly freeze while walking. Researchers will record brain activity from implanted devices as 36 participants walk in a virtual reality setup. The goal is to better understand what happens in the brain during freezing episodes, which could lead to new treatments.
