Searching for Alzheimer's clues in a drop of blood
NCT ID NCT01315639
Summary
This study aimed to find out if measuring certain proteins in the blood could help predict Alzheimer's disease. Researchers followed over 1,000 people with either mild memory problems or early Alzheimer's to see if their blood test results could forecast who would get worse or how fast the disease would progress. The goal was to gather knowledge to help develop better tools for future diagnosis and monitoring, not to provide treatment.
