Could a simple blood test predict Alzheimer's?
NCT ID NCT01315639
Summary
This study aimed to see if measuring certain proteins in the blood could help doctors predict Alzheimer's disease. Researchers followed over 1,000 people with either mild memory problems or early Alzheimer's to see if their blood test results could forecast who would get worse or develop full dementia. The goal was to find a simpler, less invasive way to understand and track the disease compared to spinal taps or complex scans.
