Dialysis heart drug showdown: which beta blocker saves more lives?

Summary

This study looks at two common heart medications, metoprolol and carvedilol, in people on dialysis. The goal is to see which one better prevents heart attacks, strokes, heart failure, and death. About 2,540 adults on hemodialysis will be randomly assigned to one of the two drugs and followed over time.
