First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 37 times
Summary
This study looked at how balance training and aerobic exercise affect the brains of 64 people with cerebellar ataxia, a condition that affects coordination. Researchers used brain scans to see if balance training changes brain areas outside the cerebellum, while aerobic training might cause changes inside the cerebellum. The goal was to understand how each type of exercise works in the brain, not to test a cure.
