First human test: how kidneys handle experimental drug
NCT ID NCT06693765
Summary
This early-stage study tested how the experimental drug AZD4144 is processed by the body in people with different levels of kidney function. Researchers gave a single dose to 41 participants, including healthy volunteers and people with mild to severe kidney impairment or end-stage kidney disease. The goal was to understand if kidney problems change how the drug moves through the body and to check for safety issues.
