Summary
This study tests a drug called avapritinib in people with advanced solid tumors that have certain genetic changes (CKIT or PDGFRA mutations). The goal is to see if the drug can shrink or control the cancer. About 50 adults with cancers like melanoma, sarcoma, or breast, lung, or stomach cancer that have spread will take the pill. The drug works by blocking enzymes that help cancer cells grow.
