New 3D ultrasound aims to improve breast cancer diagnosis without radiation

NCT ID NCT07505797

First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study is testing a new 3D breast ultrasound system called ATUSA to see if it can help doctors find breast cancer more accurately. About 800 women with suspicious breast findings (BI-RADS 4 or 5) will get the scan before their biopsy. The goal is to compare the ultrasound images with biopsy results to improve diagnosis and reduce the need for radiation-based methods.
