First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study explores a new surgical approach for women with early-stage breast cancer. During nipple-sparing mastectomy, if cancer is found in the nipple, doctors will remove the nipple but try to preserve the areola and rebuild a new nipple in the same surgery. About 40 women will be followed for 3 years to check for cancer return, complications, and satisfaction.
