Hunting for Alzheimer's early warning signs in 850 adults

NCT ID NCT03140865

Summary

This study aims to identify early risk factors that predict cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease in adults aged 55 and older. Researchers will follow 850 participants with normal cognition, mild impairment, or early Alzheimer's to track how metabolic health and brain changes relate to disease progression. The study collects cognitive tests, brain scans, and biological samples to build a research database for future investigations into early detection and prevention strategies.
