First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether people with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm) experience temporary changes in thinking, memory, or focus during an episode. About 600 participants will take tablet-based cognitive tests while in atrial fibrillation and again when their heart is in normal rhythm. The goal is to understand how heart rhythm affects brain function and what factors might reduce these effects.
