Serotonin receptor may be key to unlocking MS mysteries
NCT ID NCT05746845
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a serotonin receptor called 5-HT7 could be used as a biomarker for multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers measured how much of this receptor was on different blood cells from 100 people, including healthy volunteers and MS patients on stable treatment. The goal was to better understand the immune system changes in MS, not to test a new treatment.
