New drug tested to shrink tumors before colon cancer surgery

Summary

This study is testing if a drug called zanidatamab can shrink tumors before surgery in people with early-stage colon or rectal cancer that has a specific marker called HER2. The goal is to see if this pre-surgery treatment helps improve outcomes. About 38 participants will receive the drug by IV infusion for several cycles before their standard cancer surgery and follow-up care.
