Brain zap & data dive: new study aims to predict and prevent youth suicide

NCT ID NCT07188506

Summary

This research aims to understand and prevent suicide in young adults (18-25) with mood disorders. It will test whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique (dTMS) reduces suicidal thoughts and risk. The study also collects extensive health data—including brain scans, genetics, and gut bacteria—to identify risk factors and predict who might benefit most from the treatment.
