Ottawa study seeks to unlock why homeless youth turn to drugs and tobacco
NCT ID NCT04812613
Summary
This research project aims to understand why homeless or at-risk youth in Ottawa use multiple substances like tobacco, cannabis, and other drugs. The study will work directly with about 520 young people and adults, using surveys and interviews to learn about their experiences. Based on what they learn, researchers will offer a tailored support program, including peer support and optional nurse counselling, to help participants reduce their substance use.
