Scientists hunt for genetic clues to rising colon cancer in young adults

NCT ID NCT02863107

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people develop colorectal cancer at a young age (18-50) by comparing them to those diagnosed later in life. Researchers are collecting genetic information, medical histories, and lifestyle data from 818 patients and their family members to identify potential genetic risk factors. The goal is to find markers that could help identify people at higher risk and improve future prevention and treatment approaches.
