First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a substance called YKL-40 in the blood can help predict how well heart failure patients will respond to a special pacemaker treatment called cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). About 51 patients will give blood samples during their routine CRT procedure and be checked 6 months later. The goal is to find a simple way to know ahead of time who will benefit most from CRT.
