First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This pilot study tested whether a therapy called written exposure therapy, delivered via video calls, could help reduce PTSD symptoms in women who recently experienced a sexual assault. Thirty women who visited a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) clinic within 7 days of the assault took part. The goal was to see if this approach is practical and shows promise for a larger future study.
