Summary
This study looks at whether adding work-focused programs to standard substance use treatment helps Veterans stay sober and improve their daily lives. About 100 Veterans in early recovery will be randomly assigned to receive or not receive a referral to therapeutic work activities. Researchers will track sobriety, mental health, self-esteem, and overall functioning over six months.
