First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether a 12-week, family-centered whole foods diet (without calorie counting) can prevent type 2 diabetes in adults with prediabetes. About 30 adult-child pairs will participate, with half receiving the diet intervention and half continuing usual care. The study measures how well families stick with the diet, satisfaction, and changes in blood sugar and diet quality.
