First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study aims to see if giving healthy adults a small number of whipworm eggs is safe and can cause a mild, controlled infection. Researchers will test different doses in 18 volunteers aged 18-45 to find the best dose that is safe and leads to a consistent infection. The goal is to develop a model for future research on treatments for whipworm and related diseases.
