Protein plus herbs: a new edge for female athletes?
NCT ID NCT07594444
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether whey or plant protein, with or without ashwagandha and shatavari herbs, can help physically active women improve muscle strength, recovery, and overall wellbeing. About 60 women aged 18-45 who exercise regularly will take a daily supplement for 6 weeks and complete strength tests, questionnaires, and saliva samples. The goal is to see if adding these herbs to protein offers extra benefits for stress, sleep, and recovery.
