New weight loss drug may also ease chronic back pain

Summary
This study is testing whether a weekly injection called retatrutide can help reduce chronic low back pain in adults who have obesity or are overweight. The 80-week trial will compare the drug against a placebo in 586 participants to see if it improves pain and leads to weight loss. Researchers will also measure changes in physical function, sleep quality, and various health markers.
