Summary

This study tests whether an enhanced web-based program can help inactive Latina women increase their physical activity and keep it up over time. The enhanced version adds text messages and personalized goal-setting to the original online intervention. Participants will be followed for 18 months to see how their activity levels change. The goal is to find a practical, culturally tailored way to promote lasting healthy habits.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Enhanced web-based physical activity intervention with text messages and adaptive goal-setting
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a scalable, culturally tailored digital tool to help Latinas become and stay physically active, reducing health risks.
What could go wrong
The trial is early and relies on self-motivation and technology adherence; results may not generalize beyond this group, and some participants may not sustain engagement.
