First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested a web-based program that combines cognitive behavioral therapy with pain self-management for 160 adults who have both opioid use disorder and chronic pain and are taking methadone or buprenorphine. The program teaches coping skills and uses daily text surveys to monitor pain and activity. Researchers compared it to standard care alone to see if it helps people stay in treatment and reduce pain interference.
