Smartwatch study aims to spot ICU recovery problems early
NCT ID NCT07466446
First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether a wrist-worn activity monitor can help doctors understand how people recover after leaving the intensive care unit (ICU). 40 adults who were in the ICU for over a week will wear the device at home and answer health questionnaires. The goal is to see if movement data can reveal early signs of problems like pain, anxiety, or trouble sleeping, so the right support can be given sooner.
