Smart fillings: could this new material make dental work last longer?

NCT ID NCT07262086

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study compares a new self-hardening bioactive filling material to a standard one in 25 people with two decayed back teeth. The goal is to see if the new filling resists wear better over 2 years and boosts mineral density under the filling, which could help strengthen the tooth. Participants will have digital scans and X-rays at several check-ups to measure these effects.
