First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This pilot study tested whether whole-body electromyostimulation (WB-EMS) training, which uses electrical pulses to make muscles contract, can improve blood sugar control in adults with prediabetes. Researchers compared the training to standard care in 66 sedentary adults aged 40-65. The goal was to see if WB-EMS could lower HbA1c levels and improve other health markers.
