First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether carbonated water can help people maintain blood pressure when standing, reducing the risk of fainting. Researchers will compare the effects of carbonated and still water in 25 healthy adults. The goal is to see if the bubbles in carbonated water expand the stomach and boost nerve activity that raises blood pressure.
