NCT ID NCT05425641

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested four simple behavior change techniques—goal setting, action planning, self-monitoring, and feedback—to see if they could help sedentary adults at risk for heart disease walk at least 1,000 more steps per day. Over 600 participants used a Fitbit and received text messages to track their progress. The goal was to understand which techniques work best to increase physical activity and improve heart health.
